Source Record, patched.
A free, community crash-fix build of exeldro\'s Source Record plugin for OBS Studio. Same plugin, same workflow, one bug squashed. Built and stress-tested by Rafael Roman.
This is not an Instant Replay feature. Source Record is an open-source OBS plugin made by exeldro and licensed under GPL-2.0. This page hosts a patched build that fixes one crash. All credit for the plugin goes to exeldro. Source code: github.com/romanrafael12/obs-source-record (fork of exeldro/obs-source-record).
Both files live on the GitHub release page (tag v0.4.8-rafael-1). Pick the Windows installer or the macOS .pkg there. The macOS build is signed and notarized by Apple.
One crash, gone.
The bug
A use-after-free in video output: OBS could crash when a source changed resolution while the Replay Buffer was active.
The fix
Safe handling of the video output when resolution changes, so the buffer keeps running without crashing OBS.
Builds provided
Windows x64 and macOS Apple Silicon (arm64), both stress-tested. Intel Mac and Linux can be built from source but are not published here.
Heads up: once exeldro merges PR #179 into the official Source Record, use his official build instead. This patched build only exists to tide you over until then.
